Form submissions via Dealroom - Where does the data go?

Hi!

We are testing with a form in in our dealroom and I can’t figure out where the submitted information goes. 

I have tested everything & the form fields are linked to the respective playbook questions. Because of this I expect the submitted information to show up in the playbook as answers to the linked questions (see screenshot below). However, this doesn’t seem to be the case and I can’t find the information from the form submission anywhere.

I have followed the documentation / DealHub knowledge base article step by step and this also didn’t change anything. Anyone here who can help me out?

Morning ​@Wouterdeg23 - The information captured by the form element in the DealRoom will write back to the playbook for that proposal. 

Quick troubleshooting question. Have you tested the form using a published DealRoom? This tripped me up for a while. The form submission only writes back to the playbook when it is fully published. You don’t have to sign the DealRoom for the sync to occur, you just need to press the form Submit button.

@BrentonWest I did try that several times - also from incognito and with my private email to ensure I was really seen as a guest. Not once the answers showed up in the playbook itself. 

I have the feeling I am missing something simple, but I don’t know what...

Hey I once had a discussion about this as well and the answer I got was that the form widget does not write back to proposal. I am confused now. It would be great to have a clear communication on this because I have a client who is looking to collect information on the form and to write back to their integrated CRM ​@BrentonWest

The form widget in the DealRoom can collect information from buyers and update the corresponding answer in the playbook. That answer can then be used dynamically in the output document, and it’s also able to write back to the CRM.
