Decimal places for Discount?

The Discount parameter only captures 2 decimal places, so if I have a list price of 15,000 and I set the total price to 10,000 then the Discount becomes 33.33%. This presents a problem when I use the Discount * List Price in my CRM system because the outcome is 10,050, which is not correct.

I have tried to change to change the  Mantissa length in Settings to 8 instead of 2 (Advanced Settings > General Settings) but that doesn’t appear to affect the Discount decimal places used.

Hi Mike,

I’d be happy to assist you with this.
Could you please let me know which CRM system you are currently using?

Hi @Mike Anderson

Best practice is to work with the Net Price, as it provides the most accurate representation of the deal value.
You can configure it with a few simple steps.
1. In the Version Settings screen, click on “Advanced Settings”.
2. Then, in the upper bar, select “Advanced Configuration”.
3. Select ‘Yes’ on the “Update product net price?” toggle.
4. Return to the Version Settings screen, and click on “Products”.
5. Go to Actions → Settings → General Attributes. Fill in the API of the designated field in Salesforce for the “Total net price” attribute.

If needed, it will also be possible to create a Proposal Attribute that can be synchronized to Salesforce. However, you will need to configure the Mantis accordingly within Salesforce as well.

Thanks for your response @Eden Hamama .
My instance was already configured as you directed, with the Total net price being mapped to QuoteLineItem.Item_Net_Price__c in my Salesforce org. Unfortunately, I’m still stuck with the discount of 33.33% from Dealhub, which is then used to the Sales Price on the Product and I end up with the wrong Sales Price. This 33.33% will also go onto the Subscription where it may be used again to calculate a future discount amount on renewal.

It would be great if the Mantissa length setting applied to the Discount property!

For the thread, there is a feature flag that enables full decimal sync to SFDC.
