Is it possible to set up products in a system so users can freely edit the product name and price, keep a consistent SKU, and have their changes sync back to Salesforce? What are some practical ways to enable this kind of customization, especially for products that appear in repeatable question groups or flexible structures within the document output?

Hi Taylor,
You can create a “dummy” SKU to serve as a dynamic SKU, allowing the AE to assign a custom name and price as needed.
To do this, set up a proposal attribute to hold the custom name provided by the AE. This can be captured either through a playbook question or directly from the product summary.
Make sure this proposal attribute is displayed in the PDF or DealRoom. If it appears in the same table as other products, you'll need to populate this attribute for those products as well (using their original names) to ensure the custom name column is not left empty for standard products.
For Salesforce syncing, the dummy SKU will be synced using the fixed SKU you define. The proposal attribute can also be synced to the quote line item level.
Let me know if you need more detailed guidance or if you're good to move forward with this.
Best,
