Managerial Summary: The process takes product and shipping data from DealHub, transforms it into Avalara’s format, retrieves official tax calculations, and delivers line-level tax amounts back to DealHub in real time.Optional Middleware Tools: Make, Zapier, Workato, n8n, Celigo, etc. Trigger: Webhook from DealHubDealHub sends product and shipping data when a quote requires tax calculation. Step 1: Collect Product Data The middleware iterates through product line items (SKU, Name, Quantity, Net Price, Tax Code) and we can adjust the information coming out of DealHub. Each line is formatted into Avalara’s expected JSON structure. Step 2: Build Transaction Payload Customer and shipping address info is mapped from DealHub’s Webhook. Formatting troubles with your Word sub-doc template? Do your graphics and formatting look super sleek in Word, but once uploaded to DealHub and previewed in your proposal, they appear misaligned? Tip: Verify the margins on the Word doc and the DealHub editor are the same! This will prevent any misalignment or differences when viewing your template in DealHub and preserve your perfectly polished masterpiece. To check this, navigate to Version Settings > Output Documents > Document Templates > Select Your Template > Settings (top right). DealHub’s recommendation is to use: 80px for top and bottom margins and 60px for left and right margins. The table below converts pixels to inches and cm for Word margins. Pixels Inches Centimeters 80px 0.833 in. 2.1cm 60px 0.625 in. 1.6cm
We have some signing rules in the system and there are multiple signers assigned to each rule. Is there system setting like one signature is ok or require signatures from all signers? ( Like the setting we have for rule based approvals require one or all). If not in this case would the system move deal to won if only 1 signer signs? Just trying to understand the behavior and the impact of multi-signers.Do all the signers needs to sign? Is one signature is enough for a deal to be considered as complete? Can we set the behavior of signature requirement as we do to approvers (all the signers or any of the signers)?
My client wants to write to custom object in HubSpot? Is this possible?
Hi, my client want’s to know if there is a limit to signatures in Dealroom?
This section outlines how DealHub calculates key revenue metrics—ARR (Annual Recurring Revenue), ACV (Annual Contract Value), and TCV (Total Contract Value)—based on product types and durations. These metrics are available out-of-the-box and can be used for display purposes or synced to your CRM. ARRARR focuses solely on predictable, recurring subscription revenue and excludes one-time product charges.Applicable to: Recurring products only Calculation basis: Product duration (in months) Not applicable to: One-time products ACVACV includes prorated one-time fees, reflecting the full annualized value of a contract.Applicable to:One-time products (prorated annually) Recurring products (based on contract duration in months) TCVTCV reflects the total revenue expected over the full duration of the contract, inclusive of both recurring and one-time charges. Applicable to: All product types—recurring and one-time Calculation basis: Total revenue across the contract’s lifetime Where to
When a customer upsells the same product within a billing period, I end up with 2 active rows in my subscription table. I have a "new quantity" column to track changes. What's the best way to make one of these duplicate product lines read-only to avoid confusion?
Hi, can we read from the Contract Object in HubSpot? Or just Company and Deal?
Hey, I have a closed Deal in HubSpot and set it as Closed Won. Now the Sign Externally button is not visible in Dealhub, what can be done now to move the quote status to WON?
Hi!We are testing with a form in in our dealroom and I can’t figure out where the submitted information goes. I have tested everything & the form fields are linked to the respective playbook questions. Because of this I expect the submitted information to show up in the playbook as answers to the linked questions (see screenshot below). However, this doesn’t seem to be the case and I can’t find the information from the form submission anywhere.I have followed the documentation / DealHub knowledge base article step by step and this also didn’t change anything. Anyone here who can help me out? Thanks!
I have a client that has multiple documents that require individual signatures. They are wondering if the signing of these multiple documents can be facilitated within the DealRoom?Example, Like the client needs to sign the following individuallyThe MSA The Contract The Terms of Usage / ServiceIf we support this how is this configured for each document?
Hey everyone, I'm running into a confusing issue when trying to set up a new Price Book.Does anyone know why products are getting duplicated in Salesforce (SF) when I create a new Price Book? It seems like adding the Price Book entries is somehow triggering a duplicate Product record creation, which shouldn't happen. Any thoughts on potential triggers, like automation or specific settings I should check in our CPQ package?
My 'Premium Support' product's price needs to be a percentage of a subtotal, but that subtotal includes Add-on products that are already calculated as a percentage of other products (Subscriptions). Since standard Percent of Total (PoT) struggles with this nested structure, what is the specific Price Rule or PoT Scope setting required to correctly calculate this price hierarchy?
We have over 100 partners using DealHub CPQ and are looking for a strategy to eliminate their Salesforce Partner Community licenses entirely to reduce costs. The requirement is that these partners must still be able to generate quotes in DealHub, which requires syncing data back to our SFDC org. Have any teams successfully leveraged a dedicated PRM like Vartopia or MindMatrix to create a "headless" CPQ access point that bypasses the need for costly SFDC user licenses?
Is there a way to mass backfill the new Partner and Special Discount fields from our data warehouse (DH) onto previously Closed Won Opportunities in Salesforce (SFDC)? We need a report to capture this historical data, but the core challenge is updating these old records. Any best practices or known tools for this type of historical data sync?
I am trying to calculate a subtotal from a repeatable section of line items where users manually enter a quantity for different non-standard products (Manual Items). Crucially, I only need to sum the Quantity field for 5 out of the 10 possible products in that group. How can I configure a Summary Variable or Price Rule to conditionally filter and sum the Quantity field based on the product name or ID for only the 5 required rows, so I can use that targeted subtotal for subsequent pricing logic?
Hey team,What's the best way to sync the "Document Type" (e.g., Proposal, Quote) selected in our CPQ Playbook back to a corresponding field on the Opportunity/Quote object in Salesforce?Looking for automation recommendations (Flow, Apex, or CPQ setting) to close this data loop. Thanks!
Hi all,Is there a way for us to set an approval rule that would trigger whenever the user changes the List Price (referred to as "Volume Price" in our instance) in the Product Summary tab? We have dynamic pricing enabled to give reps the ability to update the list price if needed, but we want to set an approval to trigger whenever the value is changed from the default price assigned.
Is there a way to merge two quotes from different deals or pipelines into a single DealRoom in HubSpot, so that all related quotes can be centrally managed and viewed together? Can an account have a static URL within HubSpot where multiple quotes are collected over time? Also, are there options to involve a HubSpot expert to review or optimize how quotes and deals are configured and linked in such scenarios?
Do we have a way to read the Title shown in the Signature widget in the generated PDF from a source field instead of from the user's defined position/title in User Management?
When one approver in a group approves a proposal via email reply, the other approvers receive a confirmation that no action is needed. Does this same "no action needed" confirmation notification also occur when the approval is done through the DH environment (Digital HQ) or via Slack?
Where should a product-specific multiplier be stored for calculation: in the Factors sections (global/general variables) or in Product Factors (variables specific to a product)
Is it possible to set up products in a system so users can freely edit the product name and price, keep a consistent SKU, and have their changes sync back to Salesforce? What are some practical ways to enable this kind of customization, especially for products that appear in repeatable question groups or flexible structures within the document output?
